Overview

Theological journals make it possible to participate in the cutting edge of biblical and theological research. While commentaries often represent the essential scholarly views for biblical, exegetical, cultural and historical questions, even the greatest of commentators rely heavily upon the cumulation of knowledge of their peers. Journal articles zoom in on specific historical, exegetical, and theological topics and tease out the details in a way that is not possible in other academic genres. The Theological Journal Library brings much of the same research, discussion and debate relied upon by commentators like Grant Osborne, Craig Keener, and Gordon J. Wenham and places it at your fingertips.

This product contains some resources produced by the publisher that don't have hyperlinks to other non-Bible resources. All journals in this product have searchable label tagging and will show up in the Journals guide section. However, some functionality requires Logos 8.4 or higher.

I am very excited to see Galaxie's Theological Journal Library on prepublication. They are excellent resources, many of which are not part of the master journal bundle. Of all journals available in Logos, JETS has been the most valuable for me. I have had Galaxie’s journals in Logos for many years and am excited to have them upgraded to current formatting.

I am very happy that Logos publishes journals. However, if you read the literature that refers to journal articles, these are not the journals that get cited the most. For example, look at the periodicals cited in BDAG. There might not be any from this list. No, I didn't check right now, but I have been noting journal citings for years, because I have been trying to buy many of the journals most used.
