Most Highlighted Verses in The Passion Translation

Matthew 6:33–34: “So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly. Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself.”

Matthew 11:28–30: “Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.”

John 15:7: But if you live in life-union with me and if my words live powerfully within you—then you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done.

Romans 8:5–6: Those who are motivated by the flesh only pursue what benefits themselves. But those who live by the impulses of the Holy Spirit are motivated to pursue spiritual realities. For the mind-set of the flesh is death, but the mindset controlled by the Spirit finds life and peace.

Romans 8:17: And since we are his true children, we qualify to share all his treasures, for indeed, we are heirs of God himself. And since we are joined to Christ, we also inherit all that he is and all that he has. We will experience being co-glorified with him provided that we accept his sufferings as our own.

Romans 8:28: So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.

Galatians 2:20: “My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of his cross crucified me with him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, and dispenses his life into mine!

Ephesians 1:7: Since we are now joined to Christ, we have been given the treasures of redemption by his blood—the total cancellation of our sins—all because of the cascading riches of his grace.

Hebrews 4:16: So now we come freely and boldly to where love is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness.

James 1:2–4: My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up power within you to endure all things. And then as your endurance grows even stronger it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking.

Praise for the Print Edition

One of the greatest things to happen with Bible translation in my lifetime.

—Bill Johnson, Pastor, Bethel Church, Best-Selling Author

The Word of God is our collective and yet deeply personal love letter from above. It positions you and me within proven, godly wisdom and gives precious insight into the heart, nature, and goodness of God....With my husband, Brian, and our Hillsong church family, we know these pages will bring to life the One whose name is Jesus—whose passion is humanity and whose heart is for you.

—Bobbie Houston, Co-Senior Pastor, Hillsong Church

Forged many years ago while translating the Scriptures among South American tribes, and hammered out on the anvil of decades of personal devotion and apostolic experience, my dear friend Brian Simmons brings to the earth a powerful and refreshing translation of the Scriptures that is fueling and inflaming the hearts of tens of thousands worldwide. Like the Living Bible that sprung forth in the days of the Jesus Movement, this translation bursts forth from the womb of this present revival. Read it and get caught up in a God-swirl of spiritual understanding and revelation.

—Lou Engle, The Call

Brian Simmons’ work is truly breathtaking! We so appreciate the labor of love that went into translating the Scriptures directly from the Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic. The Passion Translation has energized our study of the Bible, and we’re certain it will do the same for you.

—John and Lisa Bevere, Founders of Messenger International and Best-Selling Authors

I believe the Passion Translation will be the Bible of choice for the next Jesus people movement.

—Dr. Ché Ahn, President & Founder, Harvest International Ministry Founder, HRock Church, Pasadena, CA, International Chancellor, Wagner University

The Passion Translation makes powerful truths more accessible and at the same time stirs our inner man to rejoice and receive.

—Graham Cooke, Speaker, Author, and Founder of Brilliant Book House

No warnings. Logos offers it along with endorsements to uninformed buyers as a NT translation. That is really shameful.
  2. Jacqueline Sanderson
Logos should be ashamed to continue to sell, not only this Bible 'translation but, ANY works offered by Brian Simmons. Clearly a man of low moral values that has distorted the Word of God and is leading people astray.
  3. Marcus Pristed
False and dangerous bible, should not be accessable on logos

I want to join others who are saying that TPT should not be offered by Logos. I have already written an email to Logos feedback telling them the same thing. The reply of June 10 was that they would look into the matter, but I've not heard back from them. But I see it is still available.

This translation should not be bought or sold given the large amount of evidence that has come out against the so called translator. He has sold false claims and has lied about his past translation work, the later of which never actually occurred according to the team he said he worked with.

Garbage. Total and utter garbage. The translation and the translator.

This is not a translation. This is partly blasphemous and in many places a plagiarization. You pulled books in Logos for much less... Brian also did lie about his credentials and that he understands Aramaic and added text to the bible, that isn't in the Greek or Hebrew.

Please flee from this. Huge red flags here include; a single "translator" when all other major and reliable versions have large committees for accountability; Simmons being misleading at best, lying at worst about his credentials; adding words and phrases that have no warrant to be there from the Greek (or Aramaic), adding words that align with his theology (ie. glory realms etc) and making spurious claims about translating from the original Aramaic when scholars overwhewlimgly agree that no such Aramaic original exist and Simmons has never been able to produce it. Please, please, do not rely on your emotions (as one commenter below suggests) or how this version "makes you feel". This is adding to God's Word, and I would hate to be in Simmonds' shoes when he faces God.

Adding to the Word of God is presumptuous and dangerous. There is a huge difference between The Message- which attempts to take the concepts of the Bible in their verses and paragraphs and explain them in modern street language- and The Passion "translation" which adds new concepts not in the original languages. Importing or smuggling new ideas into God's Word is ungodly. Also Eugene Peterson actually knew the Greek and Hebrew and translated from them. This author has no working knowledge of either languages. Biblegateway pulled it off their website after scholars who were experts in certain books of the Bible went through alongside the original language and critiqued the poor inaccurate work.
