This evangelical theological journal—written for Christian musicians, pastors, church music students, and worship leaders—is published by the School of Church Music at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Volumes 1–3 lead the reader into an understanding of beauty and aesthetics, the role of God’s presence in worship, and Jesus as worship leader. They also explore questions of theology and worship and whether the lifting of hands in worship is biblical. With studies on historical practice and the role of technology in current practice, the Artistic Theologian will expand the reader’s understanding of the theology of worship in the life and praxis of the church.
