The extensive and reliable notes in The NET Bible were a wonderful help to our translation team as we worked to prepare the English Standard Version.

—Wayne Grudem, Member of Translation Oversight Committee, ESV

There are many wonderful things I could say about The NET Bible, but the most important is this: The NET Bible is a Bible you can trust. The translation is clear, accurate, and powerful. And the notes, those wonderful notes! They bring to the layman scholarly insights and discussions that have up till now been accessible only to those trained in the biblical languages. If you are serious about studying Scripture, get a copy of The NET Bible.

—Chuck Swindoll

The NET Bible is ingenious. Its continuously updated translation, supported by an array of quality footnotes on the original languages, will be an invaluable resource for pastors, missionaries and well-trained laymen. Bringing instant access to the best research with just a few clicks, The NET Bible has truly brought a visionary form to a timeless function. It’s a great step in the Church's preparation for the next millennium.

—Gene Getz, President of the Center for Church Renewal

This is an excellent tool, a model of conciseness. It should be useful for students, translators, and those preparing to teach or preach in the church.

—William R. Farmer, Emeritus Professor of New Testament at Southern Methodist University

This Bible is a triumph: a straightforward and accurate translation that is also elegant. The annotations are much fuller and more helpful than in other popular translations, and the production of a constantly-improving electronic text brings Bible reading and Bible study into the new millennium.

—Philip R. Davies, Professor at the Department of Biblical Studies of The University of Sheffield

I did not find any of the glitches and errors in this NET 2nd Ed. Logos Edition that are mentioned in the older reviews below . I did a research project on the Seventy Weeks of the ninth chapter of Daniel, and the NET is miles ahead of any other English translation in its treatment of this text. Many of the translators were formally trained at Dallas Theological Seminary (the capital of Dispensational thought) or serve as professors there. I have a disdain for Dispensational eschatology, yet even I recognize that this work is truly superlative. Just look at the NET's study note for Matthew 24:15. It is completely unbiased!

I love the NET Bible but unfortunately this version is littered with spelling and grammatical errors which are very distracting and detract heavily from he experience of bible study.

How do I just see the footnotes preceded by the verse number? I have the first edition notes and it works perfectly, but the second edition has the footnote numbers inside the text of their translation and each has to be clicked to view, or the Information panel has to be open. I want to copy only the notes into my exegetical work like I do from the first edition. Is there not just a "notes" only edition like "The NET Bible First Edition Notes" resource? Should I just return this because it doesn't function like the first edition? I've verified all the settings between the two editions and cannot find anything that would allow me to view only the footnotes.

I do not want to give this product any rating yet. The reasons are: 1. I have found several spelling mistakes in the actual Bible text. 'so is a person who has ***deceives*** his neighbor, and says, “Was I not only joking?”' Prov 26:19 "Whoever contains her has contained the wind or can ***grasps*** oil with his right hand." Prov 27:16 2. I have also found 2 sets of notes that are incorrect. In Proverbs 27:21, notes 53 and 54 have incorrect information. Also, note 54 should be after "praise" and not after "test." I have used the "Report Typo" option to inform Logos. I have a hard copy of the NET Bible Full Notes Edition v2, and compared it against the text from Logos. I hope that these types of issues will be sorted out quickly.

Thanks for getting this to the users! FYI - I have both the RVI-NET2OT & RVI-NET2NT, however only the RVI-NET2NT seems to have made the association and is visible. The RVI-NET2OT association has not been successful and Old Testament reverse interlinear is not functioning. Looking forward to seeing the NET2 Notes as a stand alone like the 1st edition. Thanks again!

Do you lose the corresponding words and the reverse interlinear functions in this 2nd ed? Would these functions be added in a later update?
