From the Preface: In the present work the author has endeavored to lead the reader into a clearer conception of the Christian’s obligation as a steward and to emphasize the spiritual implications of man’s relationship with his possessions. It was not the author’s aim to say the last word upon this important subject, but rather to present the fundamental principles of stewardship in a simple, interesting manner in the hope that it would appeal to a wide constituency so that minister and layman alike would find profit in reading it.
