Introductory Syriac Method and Manual: Lessons

Robert Wilson’s Introductory Syriac Method and Manual is an excellent resource for anyone seeking to gain basic knowledge of Syriac. Wilson’s text is based on the structure of the corresponding Introductory Hebrew Method and Manual by W. R. Harper—the American linguist who set the standard in nineteenth-century introductory language texts, pioneering the use of inductive methods. Designed for the beginner, Wilson’s text utilizes these methods to create a comprehensive tool for students. This volume includes 18 lessons, along with word lists, a glossary, notes, and biblical texts in Syriac.
