Cyril W. Emmet (1820–1903) was the vicar of West Hendred, located in South Oxfordshire. He published numerous books, including The Eschatological Question in the Gospels, Conscience, Creeds and Critics: A Plea for Liberty of Criticism within the Church of England, and The Third Book of Maccabees.
