Can we trust the Bible?

Our faith is based on the New Testament—but can we really trust the Bible? Skeptics say no, arguing that the Gospel manuscripts have been doctored to push a theological agenda.

In this new Faithlife original film, Dr. Craig Evans takes this claim head-on, traveling the globe to track down the most ancient New Testament manuscripts. Along the way, he highlights groundbreaking new evidence, demonstrating that the case for the reliability of the New Testament manuscripts is stronger than ever.

I bought this earlier in the week and I thought it was amazing. I learned so much about the history of the bible and how far back it goes. I would even say a couple of the museums/displays they presented are now on my bucket list. Many times, biblical documentaries have that shot on a home movie camera feel to them. Nothing wrong with that as the information presented is top notch. But this one is not only top notch information but the quality and production values of the show are very high. I would highly recommend this and I will be watching it again.

I missed the movie in theaters because it was only available for one night which happened to be the night of our church's Bible study and prayer meeting. I wish it had a longer run in theaters. I am under contract to purchase the movie. When will it be available to view? I am excited to see it.

I saw this movie in the theaters and loved it even though I missed the first 20 minutes due to circumstances not under my control. I saw it with some Mormon relatives who, not to my surprise, didn't think it was fair to those who thought the bible has been corrupted by man over the centuries. They said the movie did not give a fair representation or more facts from those who believe that point of view and therefore was not fair in its assessment of the scriptures, i.e. that the bible is not inerrant. It boggles my mind that one can watch this movie and still believe that the scriptures cannot be trusted. I was very tired and could not give a very good defense of the movie at that time but I have ordered the movie and digital download to watch with them at a future date so we can discuss it more fully than. I pray for the Lord's leading and workings on this.
