Josh Conner didn’t set out to overhaul how his congregation studied Scripture. As the senior pastor of Firewheel Bible Fellowship, a 175-member nondenominational Bible church in the Dallas area, he was already thinking carefully about biblical literacy—and what it actually takes to move people beyond just reading the text.

“Just reading it isn’t enough. We talk a lot about the lack of biblical literacy being a detriment to the church. But access to the right tools changes that.”
