Overview

"The firmest faith is strengthened by examination of the solid foundation on which it rests," writes Beet in the introduction. "And whatever strengthens our faith enriches our spiritual life." This examination of the Gospel of Christ is divided into the following nine sections:

  • Introduction
  • The Evidence Within
  • The Evidence in the Material World
  • Christianity Compared with Other Religions
  • Christ and the Christian Documents
  • The Historical Argument
  • Objections
  • The Result
  • Notes

Praise for the Print Edition

At this point Professor Beet makes a distint advance in the argument, and deserves the thanks of all who are interested in the defence of Christianity. The book is throughout written in an admirable style.

—Professor Marcus Dods, D.D., in The Expositor
