76 Million Bible Study Sessions Reveal Global Desire to Know God in 2025

Logos Chronicled details how people around the world studied the Bible this year

BELLINGHAM, WA (Dec. 22, 2025)—Logos, the world’s leading platform for deep Bible study, released Logos Chronicled, an aggregate of the 76 million study sessions in 2025. Chronicled paints a detailed portrait of how 4 million people around the world studied Scripture this year, revealing a global community united by a desire for God and a commitment to understanding the Bible in its original context.

“These findings confirm what we’ve always believed: People are hungry for more than surface-level Bible reading,” said Chris Migura, president of Logos. “They want tools that help them read Scripture in depth—with the help of the Bible’s original languages, centuries of theological insight, and the ability to trace themes across the entire canon. That’s exactly what Logos provides.”

Key Theme 1: Logos Users Want to Know God

The year’s most-searched terms and most-studied books reveal a careful focus on who God is. “God” topped the list of searches, followed by “Jesus” and “Spirit”—reflecting users’ desire to know the persons of the Trinity. Likewise, the Gospels commanded users’ attention in 2025, with Matthew claiming the top spot as most-studied book, with John and Luke included in the top five.

Key Theme 2: Logos Users Know the Power of the Word

The top Bible verse of the year was 2 Timothy 3:16—“All Scripture is breathed out by God,” suggesting users began their study by affirming Scripture’s divine authority. Similarly, the most-searched Greek term was λόγος (logos)—meaning “word,” “reason,” or “message”—the very term that gives the platform its name. The appearance of Nestle-Aland 28: Novum Testamentum Graece at number 10 in most-opened Bibles underscores many users’ commitment to engaging Scripture in its original languages.

The platform’s most-used group of features, called Guides, enable users to instantly open commentaries, cross-references, original language tools, and theological articles related to any passage, transforming casual reading into comprehensive study.

Key Theme 3: Logos Users Span the Globe

The patterns above hold for over 4 million users across 164 countries and 35 territories. Of the top 10 countries for Logos usage, 5 are not primarily English-speaking (Brazil, Germany, Mexico, South Korea, and Singapore).

Of the most-searched terms in Logos, “Dios” came in at number 6 (“God” topped the list), and Reina Valera Revisada (1960) is Logos’s seventh most-opened Bible translation, reflecting a growing Spanish-speaking user base.

“We at Logos are building technology to increase biblical literacy and accessibility for every Christian around the world,” said Migura. “Our vision is as far-reaching as the Great Commission, and we know it will take continued effort. Still, we’re overjoyed to see the progress we’ve made in equipping believers everywhere to go deeper in light of the Bible.”

Logos Chronicled also celebrates the new features like Smart Search and Study Assistant, fueled by Logos’s responsible approach to AI, that make it easier for users to discover Bible-based answers to their questions—so they don’t have to go to Google or ChatGPT.
