This complete set of the writings of the Early Church Fathers translated into English is one of the most important collections of historical, philosophical and theological writings available to the student of the Christian Church. Includes the Libronix Digital Library System viewer.
These documents provide the most comprehensive witness to the development of Christianity and Christian thought during the period immediately following the Apostolic Era.
This is the tool that opens up the voluminous Early Church Fathers for everyone. Now for the first time, you can instantly search the entire body of writing from the starting point of a Bible reference, a word, or a phrase.
For decades, the historic Edinburgh Edition of the writings of the Early Church Fathers translated into English has made a major contribution to students of Christian history, philosophy, and theology. The Libronix Digital Library System edition of the ECF provides the interactive links between text, footnotes, Bible references and hundreds of Bibles and Bible reference books available in the Libronix Digital Library System format.
The Libronix Digital Library System edition of the ECF may be used a stand-alone application or it may be added to your present Libronix Digital Library System compatible collection of electronic books. Every CD-ROM includes a free copy of the Libronix Digital Library System viewer, containing everything you need to display, search and annotate the Early Church Fathers.
The Early Church Fathers CD-ROM comes in two versions, Protestant and Catholic. Simply put, the difference is that the Protestant edition contains additional front matter written at a later date. There is no difference in the actual ECF text.

Note: Volume 9 in the original print edition of the Ante-Nicene Fathers was a subject index for the other volumes. Volume 10 was a supplemental volume that was published after the first nine volumes. Since our own indexing is much more accurate than the print volume indexing, we chose not to include volume 9. Also, be aware that later print editions of the Ante-Nicene Fathers changed the order of volumes 9 and 10. So more recent source that cite volume 9 may acutally be referring to what you will actually find in our volume 10.
