The Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture from InterVarsity Press does what very few of today’s students of the Bible could do for themselves. With the aid of computer technology, the vast array of writings from the church fathers—including much that is available only in the ancient languages—have been combed for their comment on Scripture. Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture CD-ROM, Volume 1 offers the same functionality as many other commentaries within Libronix. The commentary can be linked with any Bible in the system (such as the King James Version which is included and unlocked with the Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture) so that when Romans 1:4 is in view in the Bible, the same passage is also in view in the commentary. If a new verse is scrolled to in the Bible, the commentary follows suit and scrolls to the new verse automatically.
