Bible Tools Addin

The Bible Tools Addin is included with all Logos Bible Software products. It contains a number of powerful tools and reports.

The Passage Guide is your automated guide to every book, map, topic or resource in your library that deals with the passage you entered.

At the home page, simply enter a passage ("mt 5.1-12" or "sermon on the mount") and click "Go!" the Passage Guide scours you library to present the most relevant information as a series of links. Just click to open each book to the right page and paragraph! If desired, you can specify the types of information Passage Guide returns and which user-defined collections it searches (see screenshot at right).

A new Parallel Passages report ( Click for video demo) lets you look at gospel parallels, OT-in-NT quotations, parallels in Kings and Chronicles, etc., depending on the datasets you have.

After you have examined the resources in your Passage Guide you are ready for the next giant step in automation - the powerful multi-book reports listed under Other Tools. These reports take your Bible study to a whole new level by automatically merging information from multiple books in your library. You just select the report- the program already knows which passage you are studying.

The Parallel Bible Versions report lets you line up your passage in the specific translations you choose.

The Passage in All Versions report is a convenient way to view (even print or export!) the passage you're studying in every Bible version you own.

The Word Study Guide is one of the best examples of the power you have with the Libronix DLS automating your Bible study.

Working from the passage you're studying, the Word Study Guide reads the text, identifies all of the words in each verse for which word study information is available, generates a word-by-word guide to the passage with the underlying Strong's Number, Greek or Hebrew root-word (in script and in transliteration), and creates hyperlinks to dictionary and lexicon entries for each word.

By clicking the colored arrow next to the dictionary/lexicon hyperlinks you can even have the article copied right into the Word Study Guide. Expand the articles you find most useful and print the guide and it will automatically add a bibliography for the resources used.

This is an incredibly powerful tool for speeding up and enhancing your Bible study. The Word Study Guide saves hours of searching and lookup and pulls together just the articles you need in just the order you need them in order to study any verse in the Bible -- ready for use on screen or on the road!

Clicking on Generate Englishman's Concordance from the Word Study Guide generates a report of every occurrence of the underlying Greek word along with the English as it appears in the KJV or NASB.

Search Entire Library for Passage is a catch-all report that finds all remaining links in your library to the passage you are studying. It explores your entire library and finds any and all references to the passage being studied. The software already knows where you are and what you are looking for - one click is all it takes!

This is the report that finds the obscure and unusual information. It even finds links buried in footnotes.
