The NBG 1951 is a Dutch Bible translation used by most Protestants in the Netherlands. The text was developed by the Netherlands Bible Society to be a replacement for the so-called state translation, or “Statenvertaling”. Unlike the state translation, the NBG 1951 is not based on the textus receptus. The translators were: A. van Veldhuizen, C.H. van Rhijn, F.W. Grosheide, F.P.L. of Lingen, J.W. vat, J.de swan.
