Overview

A NYT Bestseller, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus by former Muslim Nabeel Qureshi provides an intimate window into American Muslim life, describing how a passionate pursuit of Islam led him to Christ through friendship, apologetics, dreams and visions. In Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus, now expanded with new bonus content, Nabeel Qureshi describes his dramatic journey from Islam to Christianity, complete with friendships, investigations, and supernatural dreams along the way. Providing an intimate window into a loving Muslim home, Qureshi shares how he developed a passion for Islam before discovering, almost against his will, evidence that Jesus rose from the dead and claimed to be God. Unable to deny the arguments but not wanting to deny his family, Qureshi struggled with an inner turmoil that will challenge Christians, Muslims, and all those who are interested in the world’s greatest religions. Engaging and thought-provoking, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus tells a powerful story of the clash between Islam and Christianity in one man’s heart--and of the peace he eventually found in Jesus. The New York Times bestselling Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus has been expanded to include: A revised foreword A new afterword by Mark Mittelberg and reflection by Nabeel’s wife An audiobook exclusive conversation between Nabeel and his close friend and roommate David Wood discussing Nabeel’s decision to follow Christ, how his parents found out, and much more Expert contributions from scholars and ministry leaders on each section of the audiobook included in the audiobook companion PDF download, contributions previously included only in the ebook edition An appendix included in the audiobook companion PDF download tackling the objection that Ahmadi Muslims are not true Muslims.

I am more than half way through the audio files and hurtling towards the end. owing to the intensity of the subject matter, I am compelled to purchase the actual book and have already done so. Amazon promises to have it at my door by tomorrow. Nabeel Qureshi has set off a firestorm in my brain that is the answer to set of questions that I have been pondering for sometime now. My first encounter with this young man was by way of a Youtube replay of a Christian apologetics speech that was being hosted by an educational institution - maybe, not sure. But whatever the occasion or wherever the place, I was duly impressed by his speech content, comprehensiveness, and delivery. My previous attempts to gain a better understanding about the convictions of Muslims were fraught with misunderstanding, misgivings, and ignorance. Now, and for the first time ever, I can grasp it because Nabeel has given me a birdseye view of how the Muslim faith holds itself together ( or more precisely, cannot hold itself together). I'm even more excited about getting a print copy of the book than I was about plunging into the audio files. I have no doubt that the bibliography will prove a treasuretrove of references that I can use to expand my studies. I'll finally be able to confidently, knowledgably, and sensitively have open discourse with Muslim friends and acquaintances that I encounter.
