Logos 8 provides a brand-new way to study the Bible: using Workflows. Workflows go a long way in helping new users, especially, get the most out of their digital library. Faced with the massive number of books included in a Logos 8 base package, it can be difficult to know where to start. These carefully tailored guides provide step-by-step direction for examining a Biblical passage, preparing a sermon, or understanding a topic.
Each step in a workflow includes a brief discussion of its purpose and function. The desired outcome for the step is also provided to help the user understand the step’s goal. For example, in the Word Study Workflow, one step might be to research lexical entries for the word in question. This step would then be broken down into smaller tasks, such as reading a word’s lexical entry in lexicons or examining the words occurrences in original language texts and translation. Users are encouraged to write down their notes and insights about what they have learned as they go. They can even share their observations and discoveries with others when they finish.
