Digital Logos Edition
"I just don't get them." "They are so different." "What are they thinking?" Both young leaders and seasoned leaders struggle with thoughts like these when seeking to understand one another. All across the nation a hesitant handoff is emerging between generations that often lack a meaningful relationship and partnership with one another. If leaders do not take intentional steps to bridge this generational divide they will squander one of the richest blessings of God's grace. Younger leaders need the wisdom, mentorship, and care that seasoned leaders can provide. Leaders with years of experience need the joy of investing in future leaders and bearing their ministry burdens. Isolated leaders-like isolated Christians-are doomed. Faithful ministry is too challenging to embark on alone. We need each other. In Unite, seasoned and younger leaders (ranging from a few years to a few dozen years of ministry) have partnered together to exhort other leaders toward such unity. The voices in this volume write as practitioners who have demonstrated a heart for partnership and a model of such unity in their ministry contexts. They write in the hopes that leaders will move out of isolation and take intentional steps towards unity in the hopes that we might see the Great Commission fulfilled in our day.
