Logos among Washington’s best workplaces for second year in a row
Bellingham, WA—June 30—Logos Bible Software was named as a finalists for Washington’s Best Workplaces by the Puget Sound Business Journal (PSBJ).This is the second consecutive year Logos has received this distinction.
Since 2007, PSBJ has worked to identify and recognize the best workplaces throughout the state, based on employee benefit offerings, leadership culture and work/life balance philosophies. Through an extensive and rigorous process, which included evaluating more than 230 nominated companies across the state, PSBJ selected 85 finalists as among the best in the state.
“One of Logos’ top priorities is to be the best place in the world to work, so we’re thrilled with this recognition,” said Executive Vice President Dan Pritchett.
Among many other things, Logos' company culture is known to encourage creativity and healthy, fun lifestyles. The company encourages employees to use its Outdoor Center with bike and ski repair shop, and outdoor equipment. Logos is also creating a Music Center for employees to build relationships around music, sponsors various company-wide cook-offs, and provides outstanding employee benefits.
“Work-force development has never been more important—or more difficult—than it is in today’s global economy,” said PSBJ publisher Emory Thomas Jr. “We believe the Business Journal, as the Puget Sound area’s top source of business information, has an important role to play in drawing attention to innovations and excellence in the management of our region’s No. 1 resource: its people.”
The finalists—25 small companies, 25 medium-sized companies, 25 large companies and 10 extra-large companies—will be celebrated at a one-of-a-kind awards event at Safeco Field on Aug. 11. Honorees and the public alike are invited to come cheer for the workplace accomplishments of these companies from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The celebration will include ballpark food and drinks, walking the bases, speed pitching and an awards presentation.
