Logos wins top billing from Digital Book World

BELLINGHAM, WA—January 27, 2011—Logos Bible Software won the Non-Fiction Publishing Innovation Award from the Digital Book World.

The panel of judges selected Logos from a wide variety of competitors for its outstanding usability, design and technical structure. Some of the criteria they used to evaluate the nominees and ultimately recognize Logos for were:

  • Clean code, good reflow of text, and appropriate structure for the medium
  • Creativity in tackling layout problems that are more challenging in digital than in print
  • Smooth integration of different kinds of media (e.g. audio, video, animation)
  • Original content creation

For nearly two decades, Logos has used the latest technology to maintain its digital publishing edge. As a result, they are able to give users the best possible Bible study experience.

Digital Book World announced the winners at its annual conference opening ceremonies in New York City on January 24th. The categories under consideration were fiction, non-fiction, children's, reference and comics.

The Publishing Innovation Awards’ judges were Peter Costanzo, Director of Digital Content at F+W Media; Elizabeth Castro, author of EPUB: Straight to the Point; Peter Meyers, author of Best iPad Apps and “Enhanced Ebooks Today and Tomorrow: A Survey for Authors and Publishers” Liza Daly, president of Threepress Consulting; and Joshua Tallent, founder/CEO of eBook Architects.
