With the expanded Factbook, we can now initiate a study of most anything from it:

  • passages
  • words
  • topics
  • preaching themes
  • counseling themes
  • and on and on

In this short blog post, however, I want to remind you that from the Factbook we can also quickly access all of our calendar devotionals as well as other calendar-based resources.

Try this:

  • Click the Factbook icon in the upper left of the program (A)
  • Type a day of the year in the box such as August 30 (B)
  • Press the Enter/Return key to generate a report for that day

  • Notice various sections in the article (depending on the resources you own)
    • Today in Christian History contains links to Factbook articles focused on the day under study (C)
    • On This Day links to calendar-based resources about the day under study (D)
    • Daily Devotionals takes us to traditional daily devotionals in the order we’ve prioritized them in the Library (E)
    • Saints hyperlinks us to calendar-based articles about prominent people in the Catholic Church (F)

As a power-user trick, try incorporating the Factbook into your daily quiet time layout! It will provide quick and easy access to a lot of calendar-based books in your library.
