Here’s what’s new in Logos Now 6.10.

Speaking to God interactive and dataset

The Speaking to God interactive displays every conversation with God in the Bible. You can sort those conversations by type (a dialogue or monologue), the persons involved, and the content (petition, praise, complaint, confession, intercession, etc.). If you want to find every intercessory prayer made by Moses on behalf of the Israelites, the Speaking to God interactive allows you to find them in two clicks.

The Speaking to God dataset allows you to use the categories from the Speaking to God interactive in a search. This allows you to search for specific words or concepts in or around the conversations people in the Bible have with God. For instance, you can find everywhere David asks for help in a prayer to God.

Miracles of the Bible interactive and dataset

The miracles in the Bible are surrounded by a lot of narrative text. Combing through those narratives to identify the specific miracle passage you’re looking for can be time consuming. The Miracles of the Bible interactive allows you to sort the miracles of the Bible into categories like type (healing, provision, resurrection, etc.), people involved, location, and book of the Bible. Find all the miracles done by Moses, the miracles involving a piece of clothing, or the miracles done in Galilee. Or combine any of these categories—for example, find all the miracles the Israelites experienced involving provision.

The Miracles of the Bible dataset allows you to use the categories from the Miracles of the Bible interactive in a search. This allows you to search for specific words or concepts in or around the account of a type of miracle. For instance, you can find everywhere angels are present in the same context as a miracle involving judgment.

Link a Lexicon to a Bible

With this feature, jump from an English translation to Greek and Hebrew lexicons with one click. Build a layout you’ll come back to over and over again by linking your favorite lexicons to your English Bible. You’ll move seamlessly from the Bible you’re reading to expanded definitions and discussions of original language words within the passage you’re studying.

Lexham SGNT Syntactic Force Dataset

Identifying the syntactic force, or use, of a Greek word can reveal multiple shades of meaning, but many Greek students find the process difficult and often subjective. The Lexham Syntactic Greek New Testament: SBL Edition has helped Logos users by suggesting possibilities through its expansions and annotations. But searches were limited to the actual Lexham Syntactic Greek New Testament. With this new dataset, you can search any interlinear version of the Bible for the syntactic force of a word. Looking for places other than Matthew 28:20 where the word “teach” is considered an instrumental participle? With the Lexham SGNT Syntactic Force Dataset, you can easily find them.
