Tips to Create Sermon Slides While You Study

sermon prep

When you study with Logos and present with Proclaim, you don’t have to spend hours preparing your sermon and then hours preparing your slides. You can get ready for the service while you study for your sermon.

Add quotes to your sermon while you study

The right quote or verse can act as a launchpad or a transition in your sermon. Depending on how you use it, a good quote can be the thing that sticks with people, and it can reinforce the rest of your sermon.

You’re reading and studying all the time—why not add quotes while you study, instead of hunting for them later?

Logos and Proclaim work together to help you build your presentations from the same place you study—Logos. It’s one of the reasons we created Visual Copy.

When you find a quote you want to use, highlight it, right click, and select Visual Copy. Choose your background and send it to Proclaim. With a few seconds and a couple of clicks, you’ve started your sermon and you’re back to your studies.

You can do the same thing with passages of Scripture—some of them even have unique Bible art from our Verse of the Day collection.

Without interrupting your study, Visual Copy lets you start working on your sermons. Create transitions and make quotes pop by combining Visual Copy and Proclaim.

Recreate the biblical landscape

Logos is full of infographics, educational videos, photos of biblical places, and other media to help you visualize the biblical world. Travel through Israel, Greece, and the ancient world of the Bible without hopping on a plane. Professional designers have worked with Bible scholars to visually reconstruct temples, cities, and more for you to explore. And you can add some of this Logos media right to your sermons.

Use Logos to explore the biblical world for yourself, and use Proclaim to share the experience with your church.

Words are just one of the ways you can help your congregation see the Bible in context. Don’t leave your visual learners behind—as you study concepts and biblical places, add relevant media to your sermon slides.
