Logos Bible Software gives away $2,000 in scholarships, digital theological libraries worth $16,000 in print
BELLINGHAM, Wash., August 22, 2012 — Logos Bible Software made going back to school a lot easier for two students with the quarterly Seminary Scholarship and Bible College Scholarship, giving each student $1,000 cash and Logos’ digital Scholar’s Library, worth $8,000 in print. The thrilled Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Criswell Bible College students will take advantage of the most advanced Bible study tools and resources available, along with a grand to help with academic expenses.
“I’ve applied for this scholarship four times, and I couldn’t believe I won when I saw the email!,” said Alex Huguenard, a student at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. “[T]he resources that the Logos software will provide will be an invaluable tool in my educational experience. Not to mention, the $1,000 will help tremendously in paying tuition! Thank you, thank you, thank you for placing a premium on training young [people] in ministry!”
Logos awards the Seminary Scholarship and Bible College Scholarship to current or prospective seminary and Bible college students every quarter. Besides helping with tuition costs, these scholarships include Logos’ Scholar’s Library, putting more than 475 digital Bible resources at the winners’ disposal.
“Receiving this blessing will definitely aid me and help me complete my education so that I can be well equipped to make an impact for the Kingdom!,” said Criswell Bible College student Samuel Dew regarding the scholarship and his studies in Dallas, Texas.
With both scholarships, students don’t have to worry about financial or degree-track requirements. And the selection process doesn’t take into account denominational backgrounds or demographics, making the scholarships open to anyone. Filling out a 15-minute application and watching a brief online Logos 4 demonstration is all it takes to enter.
Searchable by author and title, Logos’ massive Scholar’s Library saves students hours of research time and helps them master the Bible’s original languages, further enriching their study with digital photos, videos, maps, infographics, cloud-synced notes and highlighting, pop-up Bible verses and other advanced features. The Scholar’s Library resources tie into the Logos ecosystem, which gives access to more than 28,000 Christian ebooks on Macs, PCs, iPhones, iPads, iPod Touches and Android-enabled devices.
