Prolific author, pastor, and president of the Evangelical Theological Society Dr. Sam Storms sees a problem with gifts of the Spirit in today’s Church.
It’s this: the Bible teaches that we are to be filled with God’s Spirit and that God’s presence and grace is manifested among his people as they serve, love, and minister to one another. Yet some of the gifts God offers to his people aren’t commonly seen in many churches today.
In the next Faithlife Live (Thursday at 1:00 p.m. PST), he’ll join us to answer questions about spiritual gifts in the Bible, including:
- What are spiritual gifts?
- Where are they found in Scripture?
- Does God still work through supernatural gifts?
He’ll share takeaways from his studies on the topic, including some found in his book Practicing the Power: Welcoming the Gifts of the Holy Spirit in Your Life.
Andrew Wilson, a teaching pastor at King’s Church London, says “Few people write on spiritual gifts as wisely, biblically, and helpfully as Sam Storms.” Don’t miss hearing some of Storm’s insights live on the Logos Facebook page tomorrow.
And if you can’t make it, don’t worry! Previous Faithlife Lives are available to watch on demand.
