Logos showcases marketing know-how with Communicator Award of Excellence
World’s leading Bible software company given tribute for marketing effectiveness in social media demonstrated through Logos Like-a-thon campaign
NEW YORK, May 15, 2012 — Logos Bible Software won the gold for Marketing Effectiveness at The 18th Annual Communicator Awards for a social media campaign that went viral. The Logos Like-a-thon increased Facebook fan engagement by 12,000 percent, earning Logos the Award of Excellence at the Communicator Awards—the leading international awards program recognizing big ideas in marketing and communications.
“It’s an honor to receive global recognition for our marketing team’s ingenuity,” said Logos Executive Vice President Dan Pritchett, who oversees Logos’ marketing enterprises. “The Logos Like-a-thon was masterminded by our social media experts in a one-of-a-kind campaign that spiked our Facebook likes by 5,800 percent, which is no minor feat.”
Last year, Logos launched a simple, yet ingenious campaign on Logos.com centered on one premise: “More Likes, More Savings.” It encouraged Facebook Fans to “like” as many product pages as possible in order to get an additional 10 percent off sale prices for every 1,000 likes tallied. This resulted in a 31-percent increase in Logos Facebook fans—which currently stands at 44,000—and a 3,100-percent boost in Facebook sales during the 19-day Like-a-thon.
Logos took home three other trophies this year at the Communicator Awards: a gold and a silver for its Proclaim church presentation software website and a silver for its Vyrso: Christian Ebooks website. The Communicator Awards is one of the largest awards of its kind in the world. For nearly 20 years, it has rewarded dynamic companies that transcend innovation and craft to make a lasting impact.
