Logos Live: Julie Canlis

Logos Live Image: Julie Canlis & Jason Stone

What you’ll see in this Logos Live episode

Julie Canlis, author of Calvin’s Ladder: A Spiritual Theology of Ascent and Ascension, is interviewed by Jason Stone about her recent book, A Theology of the Ordinary.

Julie Canlis is liturgical director for Trinity Church (Wenatchee, WA) and is an adjunct in Whitworth University’s theology MA program. She received a PhD in Theology (University of St Andrews), a Masters of Christian Studies (emphasis in spiritual theology, Regent College), and a BA in Comparative History of Ideas (University of Washington).

Julie wrote her doctoral dissertation in Scotland, a work published as Calvin’s Ladder: A Spiritual Theology of Ascent and Ascension (Eerdmans, 2010), which grapples with Calvin’s vision for the way humanity ‘becomes itself’ by participating in Christ. It won the Templeton Prize for Theological Promise in 2007 and the Christianity Today Award of Merit for Theology in 2011. She is married to Matt, and has an active home with their four children. Currently she is writing and managing their ministry: Godspeed. Watch their free documentary at livegodspeed.org.
