An Interview with Shane & Shane: The Worship Initiative

Since the early 2000s, the music of Shane Barnard and Shane Everett of Shane & Shane has influenced a generation of worshippers. Over 16 albums, they intertwined acoustic guitar melodies with Scripture, providing believers with a unique way to interact with God’s word.

About five years ago, something new began to stir Shane and Shane’s hearts—a desire to move beyond writing worship music and instead train and develop worship leaders. This idea turned into what’s now called The Worship Initiative, an online platform that provide training and resources for musicians to develop their talents and grow in their personal relationships with God. 

Shane Everett told us, “We’ve developed all this content because we want to help worship leaders become fully developed Christ-followers who are in love with the word.”
