Since the 1940s, Billy Graham preached to nearly 215 million people. Over 185 countries and territories have borne witness to his faithful stewardship of the Great Commission. He has been a valued friend to presidents and leaders of every description. In December 2001, he was knighted for his international contribution to civic and religious life. The world had truly become his parish, but it was not always so. Raised on a farm in North Carolina amidst the hardships of the Great Depression, few would have predicted the future for Graham that followed. Travel with Billy Graham is an engaging and fascinating account of his life and ministry.

In a world racked by the clash of European powers, Jonathan Edwards, one of the most extraordinary theologian-pastors in the history of Christianity, sought to express his vision of the glory of God and its practical implications for humanity. The pursuit of this calling was an instrumental factor in the revivals that reshaped the American spiritual landscape. Throughout all the changes of his life was his beautiful relationship with his wife Sarah, a model of Puritan marital piety and a source of help and support to him during his ministry.

Michael A.G. Haykin is professor of church history and biblical spirituality at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, and director of the Andrew Fuller Center for Baptist Studies at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a research professor of the Irish Baptist College at Queen’s University, Belfast, Northern Ireland. He is also the author of One Heart and One Soul: John Sutcliff of Olney, The Christian Lover, and Soldiers of Christ.

Ronald Baines was born in Western Massachusetts. He has been in pastoral ministry for over 20 years and is currently pastor of Grace Reformed Baptist Church, in Topsham, Maine, and a PhD candidate at the University of Maine.

In our modern world, where a few hours on an aircraft can take us to the other side of our planet, it is hard to imagine the pioneering spirit of those men, women, and children in the seventeenth century who set sail in creaky ships for the New World. The motivation for many was the vision of an uninhibited walk with Christ in a society founded on the principles of Scripture. The vision was harder to make into reality than they expected, but their efforts were not without fruit and their story still thrills and surprises in equal measure.

Ian Cooper is the pastor of Tollgate Evangelical Church in Redhill, Sussex, UK where he has ministered for 20 years. Cooper is a member of the Day One Council and conducts tours of the biblical artifacts in the British Museum.
