Overview

A Historical Sketch of Opinions on the Atonement, Interspersed with Biographical Notices of the Leading Doctors consists of two parts: “Historical Sketches” and English translations of Francis Turrettin’s writings on the atonement. In the “Historical Sketches,” James R. Willson traces the progress and development of opinion on the atonement up to his time. The Turretin translation is from questions 10–14 of the Institutio Theologiae Elencticae.
