“Jews have an incomplete picture of God’s nature (their view being confined to the Old Testament only), Muslims have an inaccurate picture of His nature (based on the Qur’an and the Hadith), and only Christians have the complete and accurate picture of His nature (based on the Bible). However, Muslims believe that both Jews and Christians have corrupted the original concept they received about the nature of God, and that Islam came to restore that true concept of His nature. So, while Christians and Muslims believe in the same God, they conceive of His nature differently, each claiming that they have the true concept.” (Page 23)

“A fifth interpretation seems best. It takes the verb γένηται as an ingressive aorist. The same verb is found in all three Synoptics and is translated ‘takes place’ (Matt. 24:34; Mark 13:30; Luke 21:32). As an ingressive aorist it emphasizes the beginning of the action with the meaning ‘begin to take place.’ All those things would begin in that generation and find their ultimate completion at the Second Advent.” (Pages 485–486)

“‘Christ displaced the Law of Moses as the focus of divine revelation and the way to life.… The new order, fulfills, surpasses, and replaces the old.’” (Page 186)

“David employed the term חָסִיד to refer to a later recipient of the Davidic Covenant, namely, the Messiah” (Page 320)

“At the level of common values, an Israelite might consider moving to another more fruitful country, but knowing that the famine was controlled by Yahweh (Ruth 1:6) would necessitate a response based on the Mosaic Covenant. If disobedience was the cause of the famine, then a return to covenant loyalty was required (Deut. 30:1–2), but if a test was involved, then the Israelites were to trust in Yahweh to provide (8:1–20).” (Page 420)
