Overview

How does God change your life? It begins in your mind. If you are unable to change your thoughts and see the world from a different viewpoint, there can be no transformation “by the renewing of your mind” (Rom. 12:2). While thinking differently is difficult, the Bible makes it clear that it is a necessary part of spiritual growth. In This Changes Everything, renowned missiologist C. Peter Wagner draws upon the thought-transforming shifts that have taken place in his life and explains how God has used them to move him into new areas of ministry. You will learn how to distinguish “moral imperatives” from “personal preferences” on the paradigm spectrum, be encouraged to follow God’s leading in shifting your mindset, and be inspired to step out in faith to the new places where God will lead you.

“At the time, I was a spiritual tabula rasa. Whatever I heard and read from Christian leaders, I tended to believe. Since I had no religious background, I had no reason to question what I was learning. In fact, I naively thought that just about all Christians would believe the same things, so what I was hearing must be right and agreeable to all. Among other things, I learned that the Bible says that no matter how we behave, we can never be free from sin. This puzzled me, but only a little bit. No big deal!” (Page 101)

“All of Jesus’ supernatural ministry was done by the power of the Holy Spirit working through Him.” (Page 25)

“If Jesus used only His human nature while on earth and if His supernatural ministry was done by the power of the Holy Spirit working through Him, the good news is that you and I today have access to the same Holy Spirit and the same power.” (Page 28)

“Formal theological training has a negative correlation to both church growth and overall quality of churches.’” (Page 44)

“Undoubtedly, the most interesting question that arises when we consider Christ’s two natures is how they” (Page 20)

C. Peter Wagner holds graduate degrees in theology, missiology, and religion from Fuller Theological Seminary, Princeton Theological Seminary, and the University of Southern California. He served as a field missionary in Bolivia for 16 years and taught on the faculty of the School of Intercultural Studies at Fuller Seminary for 30 years. The author of 70 books, Wagner ministers nationally and internationally with Global Spheres, Inc. from his home base in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
