Overview

These writings from Emanuel Swedenborg (1688–1771), the eighteenth-century Swedish scientist and visionary, are among the most influential in the Western esoteric tradition. His unique beliefs came from a vision that led him to write extensively on heaven and hell, to reform Christianity, and that the last judgement had already occurred during his lifetime, in 1757. This interesting edition contains his beliefs. Students of religion and historical Christianity will benefit from examining his written rationale behind the teachings that came to define his life.

For a massive collection including over a hundred and twenty of the volumes in this series, see the Classics of Western Spirituality Bundle (126 vols.).
