Top Highlights

“Masoretic text is often abbreviated MT. It is a version of the Hebrew Old Testament, translated from 700–1000 a.d. (yes, that’s right) by the Masorets, Jewish scholars trying to standardize the Old Testament Hebrew lettering and pronunciation from fragments of existing Hebrew, oral tradition, and the Septuagint.” (Pages 6–7)

“The Holy Scriptures, however, offer us direct participation in the life of God, because they are His message to us (not just those in the past), and present to us His truth about who we are, and Who He is.” (Page 5)

“The Bible came from the Church. The Canon of Scripture was fixed at the Council or synod of Carthage in 397 A.D” (Page 13)

“The LXX was the Bible used and quoted by our Lord Jesus Christ” (Page 6)

“In many places the Hebrew in the Masoretic text is obscure, or nonsensical. Often this is because of the attempt to remove any reference to Christ or the Church’s interpretation of Him, from the text.” (Page 7)
