Overview

Augustus Neander's History of the Planting and Training of the Christian Church by the Apostles is an exposition of the beginning of the Church as seen in the Acts of the Apostles. Neander's treatment of the text of Acts is a historical investigation of the key passages of Acts. Neander examines these passages in order to show how the Church developed in the first century and spread throughout the world. Neander's commentary is an exegetical verse-by-verse examination of the text of Acts, analyzing both the Greek text of Acts and where relevant, the Hebrew text of the Old Testament.

Evidently this is not the full edition. The original edition was two volumes. This must just be volume 1. Both volumes together would be over 500 pages.
