Ever feel lost in translation? With the NET Full-notes Edition of the Holy Bible, you don’t need to be. Modern readers can find it challenging to connect with the ancient words and cultural contexts of the biblical writers. The NET offers a completely new solution: pairing a readable, everyday English translation with the largest set of translators’ notes ever created for a Bible. The NET’s 60,000 notes bring complete transparency to every major translation decision and invite you to look over the translators’ shoulders, allowing you to come to your own understanding of the Scriptures. It is an indispensable resource for every Bible reader.

The Second Edition contains updated text and notes.

  • Overcomes the tension between accuracy and readability
  • Highlights every major decision, outline alternative views, and explain difficult or nontraditional renderings
  • Examines questions and suggestions through the very best in biblical linguistics and textual criticism
The extensive and reliable notes in The NET Bible were a wonderful help to our translation team as we worked to prepare the English Standard Version.

—Wayne Grudem, Member of Translation Oversight Committee, ESV

There are many wonderful things I could say about The NET Bible, but the most important is this: The NET Bible is a Bible you can trust. The translation is clear, accurate, and powerful. And the notes, those wonderful notes! They bring to the layman scholarly insights and discussions that have up till now been accessible only to those trained in the biblical languages. If you are serious about studying Scripture, get a copy of The NET Bible.

—Chuck Swindoll

The NET Bible is ingenious. Its continuously updated translation, supported by an array of quality footnotes on the original languages, will be an invaluable resource for pastors, missionaries and well-trained laymen. Bringing instant access to the best research with just a few clicks, The NET Bible has truly brought a visionary form to a timeless function. It’s a great step in the Church's preparation for the next millennium.

—Gene Getz, President of the Center for Church Renewal

This is an excellent tool, a model of conciseness. It should be useful for students, translators, and those preparing to teach or preach in the church.

—William R. Farmer, Emeritus Professor of New Testament at Southern Methodist University

This Bible is a triumph: a straightforward and accurate translation that is also elegant. The annotations are much fuller and more helpful than in other popular translations, and the production of a constantly-improving electronic text brings Bible reading and Bible study into the new millennium.

—Philip R. Davies, Professor at the Department of Biblical Studies of The University of Sheffield

Hello. I'd like to add my voice to the list. I've been using the 2nd Ed. in OliveTree since early 2020 and pre-ordered this on 3/20/2020. This has become my primary reading and study Bible and not having access to the Logos engine during study makes that time more challenging (I love OliveTree but Logos is better when it comes to deep study). Please get this one done and published! Thank you!

    Pre-ordered since 2/25/2020... what's the hold up?!?

I've been using the (free) NET Bible 2nd Edition (available online) while I wait for Faithlife to get this into Logos. A quick comment: I find the notes to be quite valuable. However, the NET editorial team has apparently shut down avenues for reporting errors in the notes (which I've found a few of -- not spelling errors but simply mistaken claims about the original language). The NET's apparent move to a (semi?) permanent edition, mistakes and all, makes it a less valuable resource than it it used to be. (If I'm mistaken about this, I'm happy to revise this review and add a star!)

Hmm, seems like this is hung up somewhere in production, so I am reluctant to "Pre-Order" this.

I've "owned" the NET Bible with Full notes for an extended period of time, when will this be released?

  6. just_me

Astonishingly prolonged wait for this one, especially since I have 'owned' it for a very long time.

@Elizeu - because you indeed own this product BUT FL is still working (hopefully) on it…

  8. Elizeu

I do not understand. Says I already have the product, but I can't find it in the app's logos.

Will this have the Apocrypha? And why doesn't the description state that?

  10. fr.paul

Dear Faithlife, please.... Why we have to wait so long.... ? and why there is no answer from you FL...?
