“In the matter of salvation, God’s message first emphasizes the problem of our lack of righteousness before it makes prominent the promise of our redemption.” (Page 21)

“that, as the conversation he had with them demonstrates” (Page 47)

“Christ’s sacrifice ought to inspire our service. Christ addressed this principle of sacrificing all for Him in our service when He said, ‘For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it’ (Matthew 16:25). Save it and you lose it; lose it and you save it. It sounds so contradictory, but it is not. We may have to sacrifice reputation, jobs, money, time, friends, and many personal ambitions in order to serve Christ acceptably. But losing will save in this business. The many professing saints today who are so unwilling to sacrifice much of anything need to ponder these truths.” (Page 176)

“When we depart from God, we become as weak as water. Walking in God’s way, we are strong. But when we forsake His way, even the smallest of temptations will be able to overcome and dominate us.” (Page 15)

“Samson, in spite of his wayward ways, did indeed demonstrate significant faith in Almighty God” (Page 7)
