Overview

You might be surprised to learn that the topic of happiness is not in the Bible. That’s right. The Bible gives us no concrete advice on how to be happy! But it does give us more than a few clues about the meaning and purpose of life. “Happiness vs. Purpose” explores what really matters in life—finding God’s purpose for your life, making sure of your calling, making sure you are thinking eternally, and finding the best way that you personally can proclaim Christ to the world.

There are thousands of small groups, community groups, life groups, and Sunday School classes all across America. These study groups need high-quality Bible study materials that require little or no preparation time for both leaders and participants. The No-Prep Bible Study Series was specifically designed to meet that need. Simply read the Bible passage and the study guide, and let your group answer the 12-15 questions. Leaders have repeatedly told us that the guided nature of these studies tends to keep their more “exuberant” members from dominating. And every lesson takes just 45 minutes!

Kenny Beck, has enjoyed teaching adult Bible classes for over 35 years in three different denominations—Baptist, Methodist, and Bible Church. A typical Kenny lesson features a colorful handout, a huge dry erase board, a good dollop of class participation, and lots of enthusiasm.

In 2019, a very small Bible class asked Kenny to write up some Bible study lessons for them. The resultant first two studies—"The Prodigal Son” and “The Good Samaritan” were extremely well received, and lovingly dubbed “mini-Kennys.” Those little discussion-based studies then made the rounds in other churches.

Things got bigger and bigger, and now four Bible study booklets have been published and are being enjoyed by small groups around the country. At least a dozen more are planned for release in the very near future.
