So many books have already been written about church planting. Is another one really needed? Many books on this subject are written by Americans - pastors of megachurches, who wish to pass on their ministry’s success formula to a wider public. We are grateful for God’s blessing on their work, but is what they are doing and teaching applicable in Europe? It is often said that the principles can be applied, even though the examples are from a different cultural environment. The question is whether this is true. Some of these ideas are very “other-worldly” in our strongly secularised Europe with its great cultural diversity.
