Duane Litfin (DPhil, Oxford University; PhD, Purdue University) is president emeritus of Wheaton College, where he served for seventeen years. He is the author of numerous articles and books, including most recently Conceiving the Christian College and Word vs. Deed: Resetting the Scales to a Biblical Balance.

    This was my textbook when I taught a group of homeschool high school students. I chose it above 10 other texts. It is easy to follow, comprehensive, clear, and provides a process for constructing a speech anyone can use. One student read it through and constructed an incredible speech all on his own. Highly recommended!
