Disciples of Christ in America must live out and express their faith in practical, meaningful ways in the "real world" including the political process. Our failure to provide leadership in our culture and the political process has resulted in the many negatives that are now taking place in the US. Believers must see engagement with the political process as a natural expression of their relationship with God. Ray Miller suggests practical and holistic ways in which we can live out our faith through this involvement and become engaged long-term in the political process.
“Reclaiming the Political Process should be required reading for all people in any elected position and for anyone wanting to enter the political world.”
—Michael A. Candelaria, former chairman, Republican Party of Valencia County, New Mexico
“Ray Miller has put into words the need for believers to be ‘working theologians’ in a most excellent way! He has thoroughly presented a sound biblical case for believers to not allow ‘lies and untruths’ to discourage us from taking a role in the political process—as God has called us to do. This is indeed a book for everyone who is genuinely concerned about the
troublesome times in which we are now living to read.”
—Clarence Washington, author of Hijacked! How Dr. King’s Dream Became a Nightmare
“For those with a biblical worldview, Ray Miller’s book will have the reader nodding in agreement throughout. His inescapable conclusion is that belief drives action. Miller’s insights and strategies are particularly relevant given today’s social, cultural, and political environment.”
—Greg Zanetti, former brigadier general, New Mexico National Guard
“The author has produced a powerful biblical treatise to inform Christians of their civic responsibilities. While many Christians understand that US citizens should vote in elections, this work makes it clear that voting alone falls far short of the scriptural mandate to participate in governmental matters. Taken as a whole, I highly recommend that any person desiring to understand civic responsibility from a biblical viewpoint should read this book.”
—Scott McChrystal, military liaison and executive consultant, The Warrior’s Journey
