- The Edge of Glory: Prayers in the Celtic Tradition by David Adam
- Prayers for All Occasions by Ian Black
- Prayers for the Night edited by Dorothy M. Stewart
- Prayers for Today edited by Frank Colquhoun
In the Celtic way of prayer, the divine glory was intertwined with everyday events. The modern prayers in this book beautifully recapture that tradition. They were composed in a small parish in northern England to help individuals and groups refocus life’s simple rhythms toward the worship of God. This volume suggests prayers for individual devotions and for corporate worship, as well as for quiet days and retreats.
David Adam writes poetry and teaching materials for churches and is one of the best-loved figures in Celtic spirituality. He has been broadcast on TV and radio and speaks regularly about Celtic saints and their way of life.
