Pride is often presented as a personal grasping for personal glory. By contrast, humility can be presented as a personal letting go for God’s glory. Most people are unaware that:
Jesus, the Son of God, humbled and emptied Himself. In contrast, the enemy of God sought to exalt himself. The adversary said ... “I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High” (Isaiah 14:13–14)
