Overview

The reader should be aware that the ensuing pages of this book are based mostly on my experience teaching graduate-level courses, which may cause the monograph to focus more on teaching at that level than at others.

Another hope that I have for readers of this book is that they find that the principles and strategies given here also impact their teaching and delivery of workbooks in subject areas outside of career development.

  • Reasserts the importance of the career development course.
  • Reiterates and demonstrates the professional values and ethics specified by NCDA.
  • Identifies general and specific, simple and complex, active learning strategies.
