In the Gospel of Luke, we read how Jesus revealed this connection to two disciples on the road to Emmaus. They listened as Jesus explained, “beginning with Moses and the Prophets... what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself," and later asked themselves, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:27,32).
