Mark Hopkins, who joined Fuller in 2001, is director of the Master of Arts in Global Leadership and Assistant Professor of Leadership in the School of Intercultural Studies. He has a strong desire to see the Church more effectively engage contemporary western culture. Prior to serving in this position, Hopkins was administrative director for the Master of Arts in Global Leadership (MAGL), Fuller’s first online degree program, enabling men and women in Christian leadership around the world to stay fully engaged in their ministries while studying primarily online. A scholar in the areas of leadership, postmodern mission, and missional ecclesiology, Hopkins has taught courses at both Pepperdine University and Fuller, primarily in the areas of leadership, and Christianity and culture. He has also pastored with local congregations for 17 years, ministering in New York, Oklahoma, New Hampshire, and California. In addition, Hopkins participated in three church-planting campaigns—serving as director of one—in Irkutsk, St. Petersburg, and Samara, Russia, during the mid-1990s. He has been published in various journals and magazines including Evangelical Missions Quarterly, Restoration Quarterly, Campus Crosswalk, and Church Growth.
