William S. Plumer (1759–1850) was an American Presbyterian preacher, professor, theologian, and church-planter. He studied at Princeton Theological Seminary and began his preaching ministry in 1826 in New Jersey. Plumer was influential in the Old School/New School Presbyterian split and twice served as the moderator for the Old School General Assembly. He was a prolific writer and pamphleteer and is best-known for his theological writings, including Studies in the Book of Psalms, The Law of God, Vital Godliness, Jehovah-Jireh, and The Rock of Our Salvation.
