The book is composed of fifty poems with themes ranging from aspirations, agony, discomfort, healing, love, and uncovering life lessons. The author arranged the themes in a manner such that they tell a story of an individual finding healing and appreciating life's hardships once at the other end of the fight, with a realization that, if given the opportunity, they would do it all over again just to get to that peaceful place thereafter.
