About the Authors

Neil T. Anderson, founder and president emeritus of Freedom in Christ Ministries (FICM). He was formerly the chairman of the Practical Theology department at Talbot School of Theology. He holds five degrees from Talbot, Pepperdine University and Arizona State University. He has worked as an aerospace engineer before entering the ministry. He has 20 years of pastoral and teaching experience and is the bestselling author or coauthor of more than 50 books including Victory Over the Darkness, The Bondage Breaker and Finding Hope Again. Now on the board of FICM International, he travels extensively worldwide, equipping the church with the message of freedom in Christ.

Chuck Mylander serves as executive director of Evangelical Friends Mission, the national missionary-sending agency for the evangelical Friends churches in the United States. Before assuming this post in July 2001, he served for 17 years as superintendent of Evangelical Friends Church Southwest. Prior to this he served on the staff of small, medium, and large churches.He is also an adjunct professor for Azusa Pacific University in the Haggard School of Theology. He serves as a trustee for George Fox University and has taught as a guest lecturer in Bible schools in Guatemala, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Burundi.

He's the author of several books and many articles, writing often for the devotional publication Fruit of the Vine. His books include (with Neil Anderson) Blessed Are the Peacemakers, Experiencing Christ Together, and Extreme Church Makeover. Other books by him alone include More Energy for Your Day, Running the Red Lights, and Secrets for Growing Churches.

Chuck grew up in Boise, Idaho, attended Boise State University for two years and graduated from George Fox University (B.A.) and Fuller Theological Seminary (D. Min.). He and his wife, Nancy, reside in Brea, California. They have two grown children and five grandchildren. Nancy retired January 1, 2007, from her position as administrator of Rose Drive Friends Church in Yorba Linda, California, where Chuck served as associate pastor for ten years with founding pastor, C. W. Perry.
