Digital Logos Edition
The blood of Christ is more actively at work in the life of a believer than most of us know. Its work is in the present moment, its relevance practical, and its power beyond imagination. Jennifer Kennedy Dean has spent years praying and earnestly mining God's Word for deeper truths about the blood of Christ, and here offers what she learned, beginning with this premise: God's material creation is an allegory to illustrate spiritual reality. God created the earth to be in every detail a diagram or a prototype of that which is invisible. It was God's intention and His deliberate, carefully laid-out plan that the earth should teach spiritual truth. Just as blood flows through your physical veins, His life, His blood, flows through your spirit-veins. Your physical body is a shadow of your spirit. For your earth-body, life is in the blood. For your spirit, life is in the blood. Realize more of the cleansing power of Christ's blood in you as you find mysteries awaiting you in often-read biblical texts. Dean's study is packed with substance, with the life-changing power of the gospel at its core. If you're ready to go deeper in the power of the gospel and the principles of the spiritual realm, this eight-week study is for you. About the Author Cofounder of the Praying Life Foundation and a leader in the study of prayer and spiritual formation, Jennifer Kennedy Dean is an internationally-known author and conference leader. She conducts seminars around the world-including at Billy Graham's Training Center, the Cove-addressing prayer as a relationship, and she has written numerous magazines articles on prayer and spiritual development. Her brother's struggle with leukemia and subsequent death were the experiences that ushered Jennifer into a deeper pursuit of prayer. “The question I was left with, despite all my prayer, was: If he died anyway-what was the point? That was the beginning of my quest.” Jennifer went through many stages in grieving her brother's death, including seeking the everlasting truths she shares in books and seminars today. “I don't introduce new concepts,” Dean notes. “If they were new, they wouldn't be true. I think they sound new to many people because they are aspects of prayer not commonly addressed. I think my strength is to take eternal truths and frame them differently - put them into words and illustrations that cause readers to grasp truths that had seemed remote.” Jennifer lives in Marion, Kentucky. She was widowed in 2005 after 26 years of marriage to Wayne Dean, her partner both in life and ministry. They are the parents of three grown sons. Jennifer divides her time between speaking engagements, writing articles, and working on her next book. For more information about Jennifer, see www.prayinglife.org.
